The weekly course on designing and writing effective analytics in the field of anti-corruption took place at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy during August 6-10 and finished with the delivery of ACREC’s certificates.
The Summer School was created to improve the quality of Ukrainian research and analytics in the field of anti-corruption. Within the framework of this event, 20 participants from all over Ukraine were gathered together. There were representatives of anti-corruption bodies and public organizations as well as senior students and graduate students among them.
The format of the Summer School was based on a concentrated theory combined with intensive practical work in groups.
At the end of the event, anti-corruption activists were delivered with a Certificate of passing a 5-day course of lectures. To add, all of the participants were kindly invited to a full-fledged training program within the framework of the Certificate Program “Anti-Corruption Interdisciplinary Studies”, which starts in September 2018.
The participants were trained by: the development consultant, the coordinator of the analytical direction, Ph.D. Candidate of the Institute for Development and Peace of the University of Duisburg-Yessen Oksana Huss; Graduate Student of the Berlin School of Transnational Studies at the Free University of Berlin, a researcher of civil society and its influence on the political systems Olexandra Keudel; Ph.D. Associated Professor of Political Science at Leiden University, lecturer for statistics and research skills Nina Onopriychuk; expert on parliamentary lobbying and political consulting in the field of combating corruption, Chairman of the Board at the NGO “Anti-Corruption Action Center” Vitaliy Shabunin.
