The fight against corruption is not limited to investigating bribery / scheming cases and passing a fair judgment to criminals. After all, the state is interested not only in punishment, but also in the return of stolen billions.
On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of accreditation, Transparency International Ukraine has invited Jose Ugas, one of the world’s most famous experts in the fight against top corruption, to Ukraine.

At one time he worked as a special public prosecutor in Peru. During the Fujimori-Montesinosa investigation (2000-2002), his office opened more than 200 cases against 1,500 members of the Fujimori network. Under his mandate, $ 205 million was frozen abroad and $ 75 million returned to Peru. Jose Ugas put away Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori, who appointed him as a prosecutor.
Together with the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center (ACREC), we invite you to a thematic lecture by Jose Ugas: “How to return the stolen? Top Corruptors and Their Money ”, which will take place on October 30 at 18:00 at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (2 Skovoroda Street, building 1, floor 2, hall 217).
